I never planned to become a wedding photographer. It started as something much smaller and much more personal — picking up a camera to hold on to ordinary moments I didn't want to lose. My dog, Lars, was my first real model I captured when I picked up my camera over 10 years ago. He passed away last year, but in a strange way, he's part of why I do this work at all. He taught me that the moments worth keeping are rarely the posed ones — they're the in-between glances, the way someone tilts their head when they laugh, the quiet moments nobody thinks to remember on purpose.
That's the same thing I look for now, just at weddings instead of on our walks.
Over the last 3 years, I've photographed 50+ weddings and elopements, everything from quiet two-person courthouse moments & city elopements to full wedding days with a 100+ guests. I shoot both digitally and on 35mm film, and the film side of my work has become something I genuinely love. There's a softness to it, an imperfection, that feels closer to memory than to photography.
Grain, light leaks & soft, pastel tones — it doesn't look perfect, it looks real. Like something you lived, not something you staged.
On the day itself, I don't have one fixed way of working — I shape it around you. Some couples want me close, guiding gently through the moments that need it (group photos rarely organise themselves). Others want to forget I'm there entirely, and I'm just as happy holding back, watching, waiting for the moment to happen on its own. Most days end up somewhere in between, and that's exactly how it should be. My only real rule is: I'd rather you have one real laugh on camera than twenty perfect smiles.
Outside of weddings, I'm based in Estonia but rarely sitting still for long. Exploring new places is one of my favourite things in the world, and it's probably no accident that I ended up in a job that lets me see new corners of Europe through someone else's most important day. I've been with my partner for over two years, and if you ask him, he'll tell you I'm always the one capturing every moment of our lives. Because these precious moments pass way too quickly.
My goal, at the end of it all, is simple: I want to give you a gallery you'll still feel something looking at in twenty years. Not just photos of what your wedding day looked like but a record of what it actually felt like to be there.
